Amid the unexpected closing of schools in an effort to disrupt the spread of coronavirus disease, Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy has implemented a program to comprehensively support students and their families during this unprecedented global crisis. Mustang Express is a distribution model to provide CGLA families with student meals, general household supplies, and student chromebook repairs.
In an effort to support our CGLA students and families during this temporary closing, we will deliver non-food items, in which CGLA will purchase items from the list below and deliver to our CGLA families, as needed. CGLA student/families must call our hotline or email between the hours of 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Friday at the contact provided below. If supplies are in stock, a CGLA staff member will deliver the supplies Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If a CGLA student is having any health issues and needs to speak with CGLA’s doctor, you may also use this number or email to leave a message with the student’s name and phone number for the doctor to call.

In an effort to accommodate our CGLA families unable to reach designated county feeding sites, we will begin our Mustang Express Food Delivery Program beginning March 18. We will be delivering meals using modified bus routes and respective stops in place for CGLA students.

Hamilton County Schools and the YMCA are coordinating efforts, along with school administration to assure all children have multiple meals each day. Below you will find school sites and other locations providing breakfast and lunch for all Hamilton County students, to include CGLA and Chatt Prep. The students must be present to pick up the meal and anyone up to age 18, will be served, with no questions. The meals will be provided by pick-up at all of the listed locations. As you will note, the times for distribution are listed for each location.
Food Pickup Locations
To ensure students have adequately working devices, we will continue completing chromebook repairs and offer appointments for pickup and drop-off. To initiate a repair, students should contact their Advisory Teacher and notify them of the issue. The teacher will then submit a support ticket on their behalf. CGLA staff will communicate with the student/family to coordinate device pickup and drop-off.
