Spend Your Summer at CGLA!

At CGLA, we take sport and physical activity seriously -- fitness is one component to providing our girls with the best education. We also think it's serious fun!

Our sport-specific camps run from June though July, with a two-week period of no activity from June 26 to July 7.

  • Camp dates, times, locations & cost vary. See below for more information about the camp of your interest.
  • CGLA coaches will be leading sport-specific camps. YMCA of Chattanooga staff will be leading an overnight YMCA Teen Girls Leadership Program.
  • All participants must have a signed waiver, completed registration form & current physical prior to participating in any of the activities listed below.
  • All CGLA camps are for current and incoming CGLA students.

Let's Get Moving This Summer!

YMCA Teen Girls Leadership Academy

When: May 30 - June 3

Where: Camp Ocoee

Cost: $50

Join this special outdoor resident camp at the beautiful Camp Ocoee! The program helps teens develop leadership skills through outdoor education and servant leadership activities. Teens get extensive training on effective leadership skills in school and in the community.

Girls 13 and older will participate in hiking, climbing, ropes course, zip line and canoeing. Additional leadership development activities will include team building, diversity and inclusion, and trust building. Campers sleep in and eat breakfast daily at 9 a.m., and finish each day with a campfire activity for discussion and reflection.

A bus will depart from CGLA at 9 a.m. on May 30 and return at 12 noon on June 3.

Camp Packing List

Basketball Camp

When: June 19 - 22, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: Hutton Gymnasium [CGLA]

Cost: FREE

Campers will participate in a 4-day basketball bootcamp focused on the development of fundamental skills necessary to be impactful during competition. Athletes will also learn offensive and defensive strategies that will give them a competitive edge against their opponents.

Lacrosse Camp

When: August 8th and 9th; 3:15 pm - 6:00 pm

Where: CGLA Field

Our lacrosse coaching staff will guide athletes through workouts to build endurance and strength necessary for this competitive, dynamic sport. Campers will also learn basic rules and practice the various fundamental skills found with lacrosse.

Soccer Camp

When: July 17 - 20, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Where: CGLA Field

Cost: $15

Coach Aldo Heredia's camp will focus on handling and footwork skills, conditioning and endurance, and learning rules of the game. Come ready to practice and play!

Softball Camp

When: July 10th & 11th; 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Where: Connect Training Center - 4295 Cromwell Rd. Suite 417

Cost: $10

CGLA coaching staff will host a camp focused on the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, and catching. Athletes will practice drills that reinforce these mechanics and support each player's development. Lunch will be provided.

Strength & Conditioning

When: June 13 - July 27 Every Tuesday & Thursday, 7:30 - 9 a.m. [excluding the weeks of June 26-July 7]

Where: Hutton Gymnasium [CGLA]

Cost: FREE

Lauren Hammond, CGLA Wellness Coordinator, will guide participants through varied workouts and routines to build strength and conditioning.

Learn how to safely lift weights, improve cardiovascular endurance, and understand body mechanics.

Coach Hammond holds certifications for USAW and Crossfit Level I.

Volleyball Camp

When: July 17 - 21, times TBD

Where: Hutton Gymnasium [CGLA]


Join Coach Kimberly Palmer for a fun-filled volleyball camp that includes games, strategies for success on the court, and endurance and strength training.
