Assessing Student Progress
At CGLA, students are empowered to take charge of their own academic development plan through Student Led Conferences - which allow students to present their view of their academic strengths and weaknesses to their family members and teachers. By leading these conferences, students are able to take ownership of their learning, set their own personal academic goals, and engage further with the process of assessment than the typical faculty-led approach.
CGLA students participate in these conferences each quarter and work individually with faculty and family members to achieve their established goals throughout the following academic quarter - a critical component of CGLA's family engagement model.
