Afterschool Tutoring

Beginning each September, course-specific tutoring is offered Monday through Thursday from 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm each week. During this time, students have an opportunity to connect with their instructors on specific coursework and concepts taught in a respective class or work with our tutoring partners on the further development of basic academic skills.

All students taking advantage of our after school programming are provided with a healthy snack and transportation home by way of our after school bus routes.

Additional Afterschool Tutoring Activities

In addition to traditional tutoring for coursework, CGLA offers test-taking seminars and ACT prep workshops thanks to partners such as Gear Up. Although not specifically related to a student's grades, we place a great deal of emphasis on a given student's success as it relates to college access. A large part of this access relates to how well they score on college entrance exams such as the ACT and SAT. For this reason, we offer multiple prep courses at various times for our high school students.
