Empower Mentor Program

In September 2013, CGLA launched a mentoring program...

looking for individuals and organizations with enthusiasm and commitment to mentor students in grades 6-12 throughout the school year. The Empower Mentoring Program connects CGLA students with caring adult advocates who will provide encouragement and support in academics, college and career planning, life skills, and leadership development.

We are proud partners of the Chattanooga Mentoring Collective. We use an online platform to create a community of people who are passionate about serving the youth in our city.  If you want to mentor with us, just follow these simple steps preferably on a computer and not a tablet or mobile device:

1. Click HERE to initiate your account.

2. There will be an intro video and a few questions to fill out your profile.  Be sure to click on “Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy” as the organization you’d like to work with.

3. In your goals which should be in the middle of the page, you should see “Get to Know CGLA” and “Step-by-Step Mentoring Requirements.”  Learn about our work here and complete the forms, and we will be in touch with you.

Can’t get away from the office to mentor?  A Corporate Mentoring Partnership between CGLA and local companies benefits both the students and the employers.  CGLA will provide training and ongoing support to mentors throughout the program.

Individuals or businesses interested in participating in the mentor program should contact us here!
